About The Position

Oversee all technical services provided by staff, organize and plan work, supervise the work and career development of staff, and participate in strategic planning for staffing and project needs for all sites at MKC.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Vocational or Technical training (HVAC/R) required.
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience with a diverse team and skillset required.
  • More than 5 years of experience in a similar position required.
  • Driver’s License.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Support of yearly company special events (Barn Sale, Artisan Festival and Warehouse Sales).
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assign, schedule and prioritize work assignments for Facilities Department.
  • Ensure that tasks are completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper training from a skill and safety standpoint for all maintenance technicians, custodians, and housekeeping staff.
  • Responsible for coordinating facility-related tasks in relation to the Warehouse Sale and Artisan Craft Festival as well as assisting with the preparation and breakdown of events.
  • Charged with the coordination of service and repair of company-owned passenger vehicles, as well as ensuring driver safety.
  • Supports the Estate Team (Lawns & Grounds) equipment, irrigation, pond & utility oversight, and assistance.
  • Troubleshoot, repair HVAC, manufacturing equipment, utilities, interior and exterior lighting, as well as any departmental issues.
  • Administrative tasks to support work task system (FMX) as well as paycom for payroll and NetSuite for any open PO’s documentation.
  • Participate in energy reduction, electric and gas and assessments for the site to help reduce overall cost and consumption.
  • Assist management with offsite leased property.
  • Interviewing and making hiring recommendations.
  • Instructing and training on proper work methods, and assigning, planning, and scheduling work.
  • Conducting performance evaluations.
