About The Position

The Facilities Specialist will be responsible to the Director of People & Culture to oversee upkeep and maintenance of Dream Center Evansville facilities. The Facilities Specialist will apply Dream Center Evansville’s core value of Excellence towards their commitment to continuous improvement and daily enhancement of facilities/spaces and physical assets including buildings, grounds, fleet, and storage.

Requirements

  • Must have valid driver’s license, over age 21, and be willing and able to drive any company vehicles
  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time, bend down and/or kneel for extended periods, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • 3-5 years of facility management experience strongly preferred; 1-3 years of facility management or experience in a relevant role is required
  • Technical or trade experience with maintenance, vehicle maintenance, or other relevant fields is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Proven desire for facilitating cleanliness and organization
  • Pass a Department of Motor Vehicles background check and hold a valid driver’s license
  • Criminal background check must show no conviction of a felony or misdemeanor crime including, but not limited to abuse, drugs or alcohol, neglect, theft or fraud
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities

  • Facilities Management: Duties shall include responsibility for Dream Center Evansville’s buildings, grounds, storage, spaces, and fleet. The Facilities Specialist (FS) will maintain accountability over the upkeep, cleanliness, quality maintenance, development, and improvement of DCE’s Campus, neighborhood properties, and other key physical assets. The FS will ensure the organization’s standards for safety, security, organization, developmentally appropriate aesthetics, and cleanliness are well established and achieved. The FS is responsible for scheduling all DCE equipment maintenance (including HVAC, fire safety, and kitchen maintenance). Some specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to building repair, campus upgrades, landscaping, etc.
  • Fleet Management: The FS will help the Administrative Coordinator oversee the upkeep and maintenance of all Dream Center Evansville vehicles. The FS will be responsible for providing cost effective vehicle solutions and input to the Director of People & Culture. Other duties may include fueling vehicles and cleaning vehicles, and performing routine checks for maintenance needs. The FS will schedule and coordinate appointments for vehicles to be serviced, and maintain thorough and accurate tracking of all vehicle asset details, including but not limited to routine maintenance.
  • Continuous and Quality Improvement: Duties include building and sustaining a safe, clean and efficient environment in order to enhance departmental operations. The FS shall implement regular facility evaluations and manage continuous improvement processes that prove to enhance Dream Center Evansville’s overall effectiveness and efficiency. The FS will maintain in themselves a strong emphasis on high quality output, space, safety, ethical practices, and performance management, and inspire the same in others.
  • Janitorial Management: Duties include overseeing the daily upkeep and cleanliness of Dream Center Evansville’s main campus spaces and work areas. The FS is responsible for ensuring a regular cleaning schedule is maintained and that facilities are kept up to the standard of Excellence as determined by the Director of People & Culture. The FS also keeps inventory of and replaces/restocks various consumable supplies for cleaning or toiletries.
  • Administrative Responsibilities: The FS must be capable of maintaining records, tracking, and organizing information such as fleet logs, building expenses, etc. The FS must comply with all organizational financial protocols and requirements, and track expenses/submit receipts accordingly.
