About The Position

Perform maintenance, repair and construction projects to ensure the facilities and grounds are maintained in excellent working order and appearance.

Requirements

• Able to identify and communicate with staff, residents, family members, and vendors.
• Communicate with Facilities Manager on projects that need attention.
• Ability to concentrate, understand, and remember instructions regarding task assignments.
• Ability to operate a notebook/laptop computer.
• Must support our Mission Statement.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as stated in the employee handbook.
• Must possess ability to be self-guided
• Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull carts weighing an average of 50-75 lbs on wheeled casters on carpeted floors.
• Frequently twist, stoop, bend, kneel, squat and climb stairs
• Stands, walks up to 100% in an 8 hour shift.
• Able to wear gloves and other protective equipment.
• Reads and complies with warnings and information on equipment and written materials.
• Knowledgeable of use and care of hazardous chemicals such as soaps, disinfectants, etc.
• Frequent exposure to latex, vinyl, plastic or materials used in personal protective equipment.
• Must participate in the Facilities On-Call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Complete projects as directed by the Facilities Manager/Worxhub in a timely and accurate way.
• Inspect facilities for projects and needs; Repair or report to 443/WorxHub system immediately.
• Coordinate with Facilities Manager on prioritization and project details.
• Keep all areas and equipment organized.
• Replace light bulbs and ballasts as needed.
• Assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.
• Be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
