Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • 2-4 years previous maintenance/repair experience.
  • Must possess valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and insurance coverage.
  • Above-average knowledge and skills in minor carpentry, painting, general repair, maintenance, upkeep, and project management.
  • Can drive a motor vehicle with a trailer, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and read floor plans.
  • Knowledgeable about the methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in facility maintenance.
  • Willing to pursue relevant designations or continuing education.
  • Can understand and execute instructions in various forms and solve problems with multiple variables in standardized situations.
  • Can occasionally exert up to 25 pounds of force and frequently manage negligible amounts of force to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills by efficiently managing resources for projects to ensure quality outcomes within budget.
  • Exhibit initiative and resourcefulness in independently identifying and solving problems.
  • Adaptable, effectively responding to changing conditions while balancing enterprise or client strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee general office environments with minimal supervision.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties daily throughout local office.
  • Be proactive in maintaining highly professional appearance (inside and out) of all areas of the building and facility equipment without significant direction.
  • Maintain inventories of maintenance materials, supplies, tools, Steelcase keys, offsite storage, repair parts at required level, and periodically review inventory for proper upkeep of facility.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information attained through working relationships with all levels of employees.
