About The Position

As a Facility Services Manager, you’ll support two hospitals with strong local connections while working in a great team culture that encourages development and prepares you for future leadership roles. Overview Opened in 2007, Progress West Hospital is BJC HealthCare’s newest hospital in St. Charles County, featuring modern private rooms. It offers 24-hour emergency services and has partnered with St. Louis Children’s Hospital to provide world-class pediatric emergency care. Progress West Hospital also provides surgical services, endoscopy services, a cardiac catheterization lab, medical/surgical inpatient services, diagnostic imaging, lab services, and the Advanced Wound Center, a specialty wound treatment facility with state-of-the-art equipment. Progress West Hospital recently completed an expansion of its Childbirth Center to include enhanced services for at-risk mothers and babies, with a newborn ICU that provides care for babies born as early as 32 weeks. Progress West Hospital is a Certified Level II Stroke Center. The hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, and orthopedics. The maintenance department ensures the facility and the campus grounds are maintained appropriately. This department, along with all departments within the hospital, supports the guiding principles of the hospital in providing care that is customized and reflects the patient's needs, values, and choices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years
  • < 2 years Supervisor Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree - Engineering/related

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of facility maintenance, housekeeping, security and other related service lines as assigned.
  • Directs and coordinates the activities of capital projects.
  • Oversees and tracks the requests for maintenance projects and the status of maintenance projects throughout the facility.
  • Provides consultation services to administration, managers and staff in regards to facilities and maintenance related issues and projects.
