About The Position

Acts as a lead worker for other employees including training, daily work assignment and review, and input into performance reviews. Coordinates equipment and supply purchase and distribution. Incumbents assist supervisors in the performance of work duties and with special projects and assignments. Incumbents also perform the work of Facilities Services Specialists.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or G.E.D., specialized training and experience related to area of assignment and three years of relevant maintenance experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Valid Arizona Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of procedures, practices, and methods related to area of assignment.
  • Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials relevant to area of assignment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of inventory principles.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Knowledge of record keeping principles.
  • Knowledge of mathematical principles, including algebra and geometry.
  • Knowledge of project coordination principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices.
  • Skill in prioritizing and assigning work.
  • Skill in using applicable tools and equipment related to area of assignment.
  • Skill in performing journey level trades maintenance activities.
  • Skill in reading blueprints, schematics, drawings, and/or construction drawings.
  • Skill in troubleshooting systems related to area of assignment.
  • Skill in preparing and maintaining a variety of maintenance records.
  • Skill in maintaining and procuring inventory and supplies.
  • Skill in performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skill in coordinating projects.
  • Skill in preparing a variety of business documents and forms.
  • Skill in facilitating group discussions.
  • Skill in analyzing situations to define issues and draw valid conclusions.
  • Skill in gathering, collating, and/or classifying data.
  • Skill in solving problems.
  • Skill in performing mathematical calculations, including algebra and geometry.
  • Skill in interpreting and applying applicable laws, codes, and standards.

Benefits

  • Retirees will have an hourly rate approximately 9% lower than listed below without falling below minimum wage.
