The Facilities Serviceperson performs semi-skilled work involving heavy cleaning such as mopping, scrubbing, stripping, refinishing, and other assigned duties to maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, appearance, and safe condition of schools and buildings in a responsible and accurate manner. This role involves cleaning all assigned areas, emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, performing heavy lifting, washing and sanitizing restrooms, replacing light bulbs and cleaning fixtures, dusting and performing minor repairs on furniture, operating heavy equipment for floor maintenance, replacing various supplies and worn items, moving school furniture, changing air conditioning filters, maintaining equipment, receiving and unloading supplies, identifying building issues, and completing work orders. The position also requires practicing safety, completing projects competently, adhering to equal employment policies, participating in training, reviewing current developments, and following federal, state, and School Board laws and policies. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
