Facilities Regulatory Compliance Specialist

About The Position

The Facilities Regulatory Compliance Specialist's primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and monitor fire protection and life safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations. The Specialist oversees the Life Safety inspections with third party vendors to ensure timely completion. This includes quoting, scheduling and filing the results of inspections and corrections.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Strong communication skills are a must.
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous health care facility maintenance experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrated on-the-job trainings and continuing education through manufacturers' workshops and seminars, highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring facility compliance with federal, state, and local life safety codes and fire protection standards.
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, and maintenance of life safety systems, such as fire alarms and sprinkler systems.
  • Educating employees, contractors, and visitors on safety policies and emergency protocols.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
