About The Position

3 Key Consulting is hiring a Facilities Engineer for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company. This position involves supporting senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly for facilities-related scope. The role requires employing engineering skills to gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for third-party firms. The engineer will assist with project definition by performing engineering studies and assessments for facilities systems, conduct quality and overall facilities walkdowns, and perform field evaluations of existing systems to provide engineering design recommendations. The position also includes participating as a delegate in commissioning walks for the facilities management team.

Requirements

  • Ideally 4-5+ years of experience.
  • Experience with project engineering and coordination.
  • Experience with facilities management and projects is a must.
  • Self-starter.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to manage tasks to completion.

  • Commissioning experience.
  • Master degree or Bachelor degree and 2 years of experience or Associate degree and 6 years of experience or high school diploma / GED and 8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, particularly for facilities-related scope.
  • Gather user requirements and translate them into technical documentation for execution by third-party firms.
  • Perform engineering studies and assessments for facilities systems.
  • Conduct quality and overall facilities walkdowns.
  • Perform field evaluations of existing systems and provide engineering design recommendations.
  • Participate and be a delegate in commissioning walks for the facilities management team.
  • Work closely with Facilities Sr Mgr. and Facilities Mgr. to work through commissioning and start up of new Amgen facilities in North Carolina.
  • Participate in walkdowns.
  • Proactive problem solving in communication with facilities management team.
  • Owner of change controls / deviations / CAPAs.
  • Provide support for Inspection readiness.
