General Summary The Project Coordinator requires a self-motivated individual with strong organizational, communication, problem solving and management skills. This position will assist with communication and coordination with approved projects and activities between the facility, contractor(‘s), architect and hospital leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in related field Preferred, High School Diploma required.
  • Project Management Certification Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of project management software
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Project Management preferred
  • Phelps Health would be willing to train in some aspects of this position
  • Considerable mental concentration on variable projects.
  • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Standard office conditions.
  • Must be able to leverage fast-paced, dynamic work environment, change, and independently problem-solve in difficult situations.
  • Some overnight travel.
  • Must have valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors Phelps Health project progress including creating project status reports for Phelps Health leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assists in scheduling for the projects to include working with the contractors to create the schedule.
  • Reporting out, to leadership and stakeholders, the deadline and scheduling of projects.
  • Managing documents such as the project plan, budget, scheduling and scope
  • Executing the project management administrative task such as billing and bookkeeping
  • Review project documents to make sure that Fixtures, furniture and equipment is ordered and on time for the completion of the project
  • Assist in the bid process, for acquiring Contractors, Architects or Engineering for Phelps Health approved projects
  • Walk the projects to verify workmanship and compliance with specifications and give a detailed report out of progress
  • Review contractor payment applications and recommend approval based on work completed
