About The Position

Are you a dependable, hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning workplace? We’re seeking a Facility Porter to support daily operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, addressing minor facility needs, and responding to issues as they arise throughout the workday. The Facility Porter plays a highly visible role in keeping the facility presentable, safe, and operational for employees, visitors, and vendors. This position focuses on cleaning, general facility support, and light non-trade maintenance, while working closely with and reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform light, non-trade maintenance tasks using basic hand tools
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and organization
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in an active environment
  • Professional communication skills and service-oriented mindset
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift (up to 50lbs as required)

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in a porter, janitorial, custodial, or facility support role preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and shared production-adjacent spaces throughout the day
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitizing
  • Restock facility supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials
  • Respond promptly to day-to-day cleanliness issues, spills, or safety hazards during operating hours
  • Perform light facility support tasks only, such as replacing light bulbs, hanging signage, tightening fixtures, or minor patching (This role does not perform licensed trade work, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical repairs)
  • Assist with set-up and tear-down for meetings, events, or company activities
  • Support basic exterior upkeep as needed (entryways, walkways, immediate grounds cleanliness)
  • Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns to the Maintenance Manager
  • Provide courteous assistance or directions to employees, visitors, and vendors
  • Follow all safety protocols and proper use of cleaning tools, materials, and PPE
  • Perform other general facility support duties as assigned
