About The Position

The purpose of the Student Assistant position in the Facilities Planning and Management is to support daily administrative operations by providing general office assistance, managing communications, and maintaining organized records.

Requirements

  • Must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the current award year
  • Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress standards
  • Must be enrolled in at least half-time. (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate) per semester
  • Must have a federal need of at least $2,000
  • Submit all requested financial aid documentation from your To-Do-List by the due date
  • Must have an official award notification from the Financial Aid Office
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible non-citizen, or permanent resident
  • Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
  • Admission or registration as a CSU student.
  • Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 units undergraduate; 3 units graduate)
  • International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB. (12 units undergraduate; 6 units graduate)
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Social Security Card
  • Reside in the State of California.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) may be required for student employment purposes.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License may be required.
  • Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5. for undergraduate and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general office support: Answer phones, greet visitors, manage correspondence, and maintain office organization.
  • Administrative tasks: Handle filing, scanning, copying, data entry, and special projects.
  • Assist with team projects and assignments.
  • Transportation: Obtain defensive driving certification for golf cart operation.
  • Other Job-Related Duties as assigned.
