About The Position

Cherokee Federal is seeking an experienced Facilities Planner III to provide advisory and assistance services to the Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) Facilities Directorate in support of Military Construction (MILCON) projects. The role gathers and analyzes Project Readiness Index 0 (PRI-0) data, develops draft planning documentation, and provides technical recommendations for Government consideration. The planner assists Government personnel in documenting mission needs, facility deficiencies, proposed project scopes, and justifications. Government officials retain responsibility for validating requirements, approving documentation, establishing priorities, making funding decisions, directing Government contracts, and accepting completed work. The position is based in New Orleans, Louisiana, and reports to the Program Manager. It is non-supervisory and requires an active Secret clearance. The government contract restricts the role to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents; candidates must provide documentation of that status. Travel is required approximately 50% of the time. Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled environment, with prolonged sitting and computer work and occasional standing or moving about the office for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to develop draft PRI-0 packages, DD Form 1391 narratives, and supporting analyses with minimal supervision for Government review, validation, and approval.
  • Ability to interpret facility records, planning criteria, drawings, and cost information; identify incomplete or inconsistent data; and coordinate resolution with technical specialists and Government stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to carry out support tasks related to facilities operations.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident and provide documentation of that status.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance.
  • Travel required, approximately 50%.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer; occasional standing or moving about the office for extended periods.
  • Position may be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing.
