About The Position

This position requires flexibility, the aptitude to follow direction and the capability to perform a variety of physical, work-related tasks. We are located in State College, PA just on the outskirts of the Pennsylvania State University campus. We are nearing completion of a major expansion of our facilities that will provide a state of the art working environment for our growing employee base. As a Facilities Person at CATA, you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who are committed to providing excellent service to our staff and customers. Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below.

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and periodically up to 80 pounds with assistance.
  • Required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach or climb ladders.
  • Applicants will be subject to MVR check, drug and alcohol testing, criminal background check, and functional requirement evaluation

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect restrooms on a regular basis.
  • Dust/wipe clean; tables, desks, base boards, light fixtures and HVAC vents etc.
  • Routinely inspect and replenish paper towel, tissues and soap dispensers.
  • Sweep and damp mop vinyl composition tile and other hard floors.
  • Vacuum carpeted floors and entry mats including offices, hallways and communal spaces on a regular basis.
  • Maintain building grounds, including weeding, mulching, trimming, mowing, snow removal and trash pickup.
  • Perform periodic inspections and preventative maintenance on facility systems such as interior and exterior lighting, electrical, plumbing, gas detection, lubrication and other related equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and periodically up to 80 pounds with assistance. Required to bend, kneel, crouch, reach or climb ladders.
