Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Four years of commercial or institutional painting experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing materials
  • Experience with drywall repair, wood staining, and refinishing preferred
  • Basic carpentry skills are a plus
  • Understanding of OSHA safety standards and proper chemical handling
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, priming, sealing, and repairing imperfections
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, lacquer, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve professional-quality results
  • Perform touch-ups and maintain painted surfaces throughout the property
  • Ensure consistent, clean, and high-quality finishes on every project
  • Repair drywall, plaster, and other wall finishes
  • Fill cracks, holes, and damaged areas before painting
  • Remove old paint using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Assist with minor carpentry and maintenance projects related to painting work
  • Help maintain the overall appearance and integrity of Club facilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Properly store and dispose of paints, chemicals, and materials
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Maintenance teams on renovation and improvement projects
  • Complete assigned projects efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Follow all OSHA guidelines and safety procedures when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Maintain safe work practices to protect members, guests, and fellow employees
  • Support emergency response efforts as needed
  • Promote a positive and professional work environment
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments
  • Assist with training and mentoring new team members
  • Demonstrate flexibility by supporting additional maintenance tasks as assigned
