About The Position

As part of our Facilities Engineering team, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Under the guidance of the Facilities Engineering Supervisor, you will perform inspection, repair, maintenance, and preventive maintenance of building finishes and grounds. This includes applying paints, sealers, varnishes, stains, and other coatings to interior and exterior surfaces, as well as refinishing furniture and equipment. You will also plan and record daily work assignments and maintain schedules for preventive maintenance in accordance with all applicable codes and standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of professional painting experience in a facilities, construction, or maintenance setting.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to manage tasks efficiently.
Valid driver’s license and a driving record meeting policy requirements (if operating Meritus vehicles).
Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle, with acknowledgment of insurance requirements per policy (if using a personal vehicle).

Nice To Haves

Trade or vocational coursework in related skills.
Working knowledge of the painting trade.
