The Facilities Operations Technician performs a wide range of skilled and semi-skilled facilities construction and maintenance work involving operation of City owned and leased commercial buildings and facilities. This role is for someone who loves getting their hands dirty and making things work. You will be our buildings' best friend, the person ensuring everything hums along just right. Expect to perform preventive maintenance inspections, conduct minor repairs, and assist with various construction tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC system fixes. You are essentially the heartbeat of our commercial facilities, keeping them in top shape for everyone. This position participates in a rotating on-call schedule with other trade specialists. This setup allows for a much more fulfilled work-life balance, ensuring that no single person carries the full after-hours load.
