About The Position

Work directly with branch teams to ensure building conditions meet established expectations and serve as a primary point of contact for resolving building-related issues. Oversee capital improvements for assigned locations and ensure the effective operation of life safety and banking equipment. Apply a hands-on approach to correcting deficiencies and completing select work in-house to reduce cost and improve service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in construction management, facility management or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities management or commercial construction.
  • Valid Michigan driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to move 50 lbs.
  • 24x7 on call availability for emergency and alarm calls.
  • Use of personal vehicle for business-related activities.
  • Evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime hours as required.
  • Frequent travel between branch locations as required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to initiate and embrace change.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years vendor management preferred.
  • Two years of project management experience preferred.
  • Ability to plan, organize and monitor project tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits for assigned locations and ensure facilities' appearance and conditions meet established standards.
  • Correct facilities-related deficiencies through hands-on repairs or coordination of contracted services and serve as the primary point of contact for building-related emergencies.
  • Perform basic carpentry, mechanical troubleshooting, and repairs as assigned or when appropriate.
  • Assist with identifying capital improvement needs, defining project scope, and obtaining proposals for management review and approval.
  • Manage capital budgets and oversee construction and renovation projects, including coordinating contractors and reviewing and approving related invoices.
  • Provide first-line assessment of maintenance and building system issues; complete on-site repairs when feasible; consult with leadership, as appropriate; and engage approved vendors as needed.
  • Manage due diligence, proposal acquisition, and implementation of landscaping, snow removal, janitorial, pest control, and related building services for assigned locations.
  • Manage the installation, servicing, and performance of vaults, safes, teller undercounter systems, drive-up VAT systems, and fire alarm systems, including performing and documenting annual fire system inspections.
  • Coordinate and support special requests and events at assigned locations.
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor by leading or working directly with Maintenance Technicians on in-house, small-scale carpentry projects and repairs.
  • Act as back-up to the Maintenance Supervisor and Facilities Services Supervisor as needed.
  • Supervise the performance of assigned vendors and contractors and direct team members on specific tasks as assigned.
