About The Position

Facilities Operations Specialist – Houston Here is a glimpse of the job: Facilities Operations Specialist, under general supervision, coordinates and monitors routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance, including mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, custodial, and landscaping to ensure each building is a comfortable and safe facility for faculty, staff, students, and guests. The facilities operations specialist will serve as the on-site project liaison, as you would provide meaningful communication, training and development, and education to our end users. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of facilities and/or project management experience in a medical setting. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field such as Facility Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of related experience in facility management, project management and quality assurance.
  • Two years of related facilities or project management experience in a medical setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a medical teaching/research facility or hospital.
  • Familiar knowledge with facility/construction management software including AggieWorks , AiM , e-Builder and Desigo.
  • Familiar knowledge with TAMU facility/ construction management and design protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and monitors routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance, including mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, custodial, and landscaping
  • Serve as the on-site project liaison
  • Provide meaningful communication, training and development, and education to our end users
  • Evaluate the level of service provided to the University through constant communication with your assigned unit and Facilities Management, building audits and inspections, data analysis, reports, and various other means
