About The Position

As a Facilities Medium Voltage Electrical Maintenance Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted supply of electrical services for the site. This is accomplished through continuous improvement and development of skills associated with the electrical trade. In this role, you will support the installation, removal, and repair of high and low voltage equipment. Additional responsibilities include serving as a resource for engineering and operations, domain experts for internal customers, and maintaining accurate maintenance records for proper tracking. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in industrial or semiconductor electrical systems.
  • 1–2 years of general maintenance experience.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday on first shift, with flexibility for on‑call coverage, OR work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off) and alternate shifts, and overtime as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid Electrical Journeyman License.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial or semiconductor electrical systems.
  • Associate’s degree or Trade School in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, control, and maintain medium, high, and extra‑high voltage electrical systems (4.16 kV–230 kV) supporting sitewide operations.
  • Perform system‑level electrical switching, including energizing, de‑energizing, isolating, grounding, and restoring power.
  • Own and maintain the site electrical distribution backbone, from incoming utility feeds and substations through building‑level distribution.
  • Establish and verify Conditions of Hazardous Energy (CoHE), including voltage verification, grounding, and phasing.
  • Safely execute planned and unplanned outages, tie‑ins, and restorations with sitewide operational impact.
  • Interpret electrical one‑line diagrams, protection schemes, and system coordination drawings to support safe decision‑making.
  • Respond to abnormal system conditions and emergencies, making real‑time decisions to protect personnel, equipment, and production.
  • Comply with and maintain qualifications in OSHA 1910.269, NESC, NFPA, and MV/HV/EHV safety practices.
