About The Position

As a Facilities Manager, you will be the cornerstone of operational excellence, ensuring that critical infrastructure operates seamlessly to support a medical device manufacturing production facility. This role demands a strategic mindset paired with hands-on expertise, as you'll oversee all aspects of facility operations—from HVAC and cleanroom environments to utilities, compliance, and vendor management. You'll collaborate closely with client teams to maintain the stringent environmental controls and documentation standards essential to GMP operations, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years industry experience required either in the corporate environment, third party service provider or as a consultant.
  • Hands on technical proficiency in HVAC, building automation systems, and utilities (MEP) management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financials and KPI data to leadership.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Share Point.
  • Computer proficiency in CMMS.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in matrix management organization desirable.
  • Knowledge of real estate, telecommunications, furniture, accounting and building systems helpful.
  • Experience in GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Area Manager in the implementation of short and long-term projects for the client project.
  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce short and long term operating costs and increase productivity by working closely with the Facility Management Lead and the client.
  • Oversee the appropriate monthly/quarterly/annual reporting appropriate for the client.
  • Oversee the development and management of the capital and expense budgets by interfacing closely with the client representative.
  • Develop monthly/quarterly variance reporting on all operating budgets for each property on a timely basis.
  • Assist with the development and implement the annual management plan for the buildings within the area.
  • Supervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary.
  • Matrix manage both technical and administrative staff.
  • Oversee multiple facilities of different functions.
