Salad and GoPhoenix, AZ

About The Position

Salad and Go is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the selection, management, and performance of facility vendors across a multi-state fast-food drive-through restaurant chain with nearly 70 locations in Arizona and Nevada. This role ensures that all facilities-related services—including maintenance, repairs, and installations—are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with the company’s operational standards and brand image. The ideal candidate will have experience in vendor management, a strong understanding of facilities operations, and excellent organizational and negotiation skills.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, facilities operations, or a related role, preferably within the food service or retail industry.
  • Proven experience managing facilities across multiple locations and states.
  • Strong understanding of facility maintenance and repair services, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and safety standards.
  • Ability to travel as needed to inspect sites and meet with vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Vendor Selection and Contract Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with vendors for facility services, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, pest control, and cleaning. Ensure all vendors meet company requirements for quality, cost, timeliness, and compliance. Maintain and update vendor agreements, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry standards.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate vendor performance against agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure vendors deliver consistent quality and reliability. Address and resolve performance issues or disputes promptly and professionally.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage the facilities vendor budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Identify opportunities for cost savings through vendor negotiations, process improvements, and alternative solutions. Provide regular budget reports and forecasts to senior management. Ensure all vendors comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards. Standardize facilities processes and vendor practices across all locations to maintain brand consistency. Stay informed of regional differences in regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Facility Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with operations, finance, and restaurant management teams to align facility services with business goals. Oversee scheduling and execution of routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and large-scale projects across all locations. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related facility issues, ensuring timely resolution. Develop contingency plans for emergencies and natural disasters to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and long-term partnerships. Act as a liaison between vendors and restaurant managers to ensure smooth communication and service delivery. Regularly communicate company goals, expectations, and feedback to vendors.
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of vendor contracts, performance metrics, and service requests. Use data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in vendor management and facilities operations. Provide regular reports to leadership on vendor performance, costs, and operational status.
