About The Position

Rolling Hills Community Church is looking for a Christ-following Facilities Manager for our Franklin Campus. We believe facilities are a tool for ministry, not only for our church partners, but also for our surrounding communities. The ideal Facilities Manager will be able to effectively manage the complex systems of a large church building and grounds. Having a hard-working and proactive work ethic is required. Also, a fun personality with a positive attitude that fits with our current staff culture is very important to us. Experience at a church or ministry is preferred but not required. OBJECTIVE In close collaboration with the Operations Director, the Franklin Campus Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining and overseeing the interior and exterior of the church campus, as well as managing the Franklin Facilities Team. Requirements

  • Preference of five (5) years in a similar role or Facility Manager
  • Able and willing to perform general maintenance and repairs
  • Available on an on-call basis in a crisis or emergency
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, repair and painting skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC and building systems
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform other labor-intensive tasks
  • Computer skills necessary for utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System and a Building Operations System

  • Experience at a church or ministry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all activities that take place inside the Franklin building or outside on the grounds
  • Oversee work of Facilities staff team members
  • Recruit, train and empower volunteers for assistance with Facilities related work
  • Ensure buildings are clean, set up and ready for all weekly programming and outside events
  • Help install and maintain seasonal, campaign and sermon-based décor
  • Ensure contracted cleaning company and Facilities internal staff are completing work to expected high standards
  • Assist in developing and executing long range maintenance schedules, including deep cleaning, equipment maintenance and replacement, and regular building upkeep (i.e. painting, floor replacement, etc)
  • Assist in overseeing normal church renovation, construction projects as necessary
  • Be an additional point person for fire protection and the overall security and safety of the facility, including maintenance of alarm equipment
  • Ensure quality of the landscaping is kept at high levels and complies with city codes
  • Coordinate with vendors for services and supplies
  • Work with the Central Special Events Associate on building needs for outside rentals
  • Ensure cleaning coverage on weekends as needed
  • Foster a positive relationship with all church tenants
  • Be responsible for maintenance in the tenant spaces
  • Be responsive to tenant requests
  • Other duties assigned by the Operations Director, Executive Pastor and/or Business Administration Director
