About The Position

This position will support the management and sustainment of Legacy Air Dominance Program Office programs and facilities at Warner Robins Air Force Base. The role requires general knowledge of standard facility systems such as electrical, fire, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing, as well as furniture and equipment within offices, conference rooms, and lavatories. Responsibilities include conducting regular visual inspections of the facility and interior areas for safety and operability, performing minor maintenance, documenting findings, and reporting discrepancies to the Government. The technician will also assist with facility escort planning, submit work orders, ensure facility occupants adhere to regulations regarding alterations, and support emergency management personnel with sheltering and evacuation plans. Additionally, the role involves reporting accidents and incidents, ensuring required inspections and certifications are completed, and assisting with the coordination and escorting of external personnel during facility projects. The technician will also participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, provide infrastructure maintenance input, and assist in organizing and participating in various events. A means to be contacted for emergency notification procedures is required.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of the furniture and equipment within offices, conference rooms and lavatories.
  • Ability to conduct weekly visual inspections of the facility and interior areas.
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance as necessary.
  • Ability to document and consolidate weekly inspections into a monthly report.
  • Ability to identify facility deficiencies.
  • Ability to assist with facility escort planning and schedule development.
  • Ability to submit work orders.
  • Ability to ensure facility occupants adhere to regulations regarding alterations.
  • Ability to assist Government emergency management personnel in planning and identification of in-place sheltering and/or evacuation locations.
  • Ability to report all accidents and incidents immediately.
  • Ability to document accident/incidents IAW AFI 10-2501, Air Force Emergency Management Program Planning and Operations.
  • Ability to ensure all facility related inspections, tests, certifications and servicing are accomplished as required.
  • Ability to assist in coordinating, overseeing and escorting of external Government and Contractor personnel.
  • Ability to assist IPT members with associated information technology, facility and security related projects and task.
  • Ability to attend and participate in Legacy Air Dominance Program Office Infrastructure Overarching Integrated Product Team (OIPT) meetings.
  • Ability to provide infrastructure maintenance related input and brief facility inspection results, significant maintenance efforts/issues, and status of infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to assist in organizing reviews, workshops, meetings and video teleconferences.
  • Ability to participate in events, as required.
  • Ability to provide a means to be located/contacted by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) or Contracting Officer (CO) for emergency notification procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly visual inspections of the facility for broken doors, damaged electrical fixtures, leaking plumbing, dirty vents, etc., and perform minor maintenance as necessary.
  • Conduct weekly inspections of interior areas such as closets, stairwells, entrances, hallways and office areas for safety and operability.
  • Notify area occupants of any safety issues and/or poor housekeeping that could potentially affect emergency egress, cause a fire, or prevent operation of, or access to equipment.
  • Document and consolidate weekly inspections into a monthly report.
  • Notify the Government of any discrepancies discovered during the inspections, prior to performing maintenance.
  • Identify facility deficiencies, as early as possible, to allow time for job funding, planning, material procurement, and facility escort scheduling to meet Government need date(s) for maintenance or repair.
  • Assist with facility escort planning and schedule development, as required by the Government.
  • Submit work orders to the Robins Air Force Base Civil Engineer Group, as required, for the effective and efficient life cycle operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and infrastructure.
  • Ensure that facility occupants do not alter the arrangement of or move/ remove water, heating, lighting, ventilation, HV AC, plumbing and related fixtures, or other real property installed equipment.
  • Assist Government emergency management personnel in planning and identification of in-place sheltering and/or evacuation locations for the Legacy Air Dominance Program Offices' facilities.
  • Report all accidents and incidents immediately, including spills or discharge of toxic or hazardous material by notifying the appropriate emergency agency.
  • Document accident/incidents IAW AFI 10-2501, Air Force Emergency Management Program Planning and Operations.
  • Ensure all facility related inspections, tests, certifications and servicing are accomplished as required, to include fire protection systems test, elevator certification, emergency exits/fire extinguishers inspections, etc.
  • Assist in coordinating, overseeing and escorting of external Government and Contractor personnel during the design, construction, alteration, inspection or repair of the Legacy Air Dominance Program Offices' facilities, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Assist IPT members with associated information technology, facility and security related projects and task, as required.
  • Attend and participate in Legacy Air Dominance Program Office Infrastructure Overarching Integrated Product Team (OIPT) meetings.
  • Provide infrastructure maintenance related input and brief facility inspection results, significant maintenance efforts/issues, and status of infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in organizing reviews, workshops, meetings and video teleconferences, as required, to support the Legacy Air Dominance Program Office.
