About The Position

The Facilities Management and Services Worker III is responsible for performing skilled maintenance and repair work for parking lots and parking facilities, including crack sealing, seal coating, striping, and other surface repair activities. This position works under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and in coordination with the Equipment Technician to ensure parking assets are maintained to a high standard. The role is primarily work order-driven and requires a high level of independence in identifying, prioritizing, and completing maintenance tasks. This position is weather essential. This position is governed by the agency/institution policy. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
  • At least one year of experience in parking lot or facilities maintenance or a related field
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of pavement repair and maintenance methods, materials, and equipment
  • Knowledge of basic equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures
  • Knowledge of campus parking lots, buildings, and facilities
  • Ability to assess maintenance needs and complete work orders efficiently
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to operate specialized maintenance equipment safely and effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide customer service when needed
