About The Position

Facilities Maintenance Tech III with hands-on experience maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, piping, and building systems across industrial and multi-building environments. Skilled in preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, machine repair and adjustment, emergency response, and HVAC - system monitoring. Known for quickly troubleshooting issues, minimizing downtime, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building repair.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, OSHA requirements, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of work-order systems, maintenance records, inventory procedures, and basic documentation.
  • Knowledge of procedures for identifying equipment problems and determining appropriate repairs or service needs.
  • Skilled in the safe operation of hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Skilled in reading work orders, equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and basic technical drawings.
  • Skilled in prioritizing maintenance requests.
  • Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with contractors, vendors, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Ability to identify equipment malfunctions and determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined or elevated areas.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and facility-related problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to learn and apply new maintenance procedures, technologies, and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when working in occupied facilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, tenants, contractors, vendors, and the public.
