About The Position

CULTA is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their Facilities team in Cambridge, MD. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and performing minor repairs to facility HVACR, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role involves performing all HVACR preventative maintenance and required tasks under the direct supervision of the Risk and Facilities Manager. The position requires a hands-on approach to all aspects of systems functionality within the CULTA facility, including monitoring, inspecting, making repair recommendations, and performing or referring repairs to contractors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of facility maintenance experience.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, climb and stand on a ladder or raised mobile platform.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more regularly each day.
  • Ability to work onsite.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions well.
  • Knowledge of mechanics and basic function of irrigation and climate control systems (lighting, HVAC, CO2, etc.).
  • Accurate attention to detail and decisive reasoning skills.
  • Must be able to qualify as a registered agent with the State Commission.
  • Must not have any violent or drug-related felony convictions.
  • Must be 21 years or older to apply.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test as required by Maryland law.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all tasks are performed efficiently, correctly, and in accordance with all current SOPs.
  • Maintain full compliance throughout the facility and keep up-to-date with all maintenance logs.
  • Coordinate with contractors as needed to perform tasks necessary to keep facilities and equipment in proper working order.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all facility HVACR and Water Management systems, including coil cleaning, filter changes, and drain maintenance.
  • Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary.
  • Assist in equipment relocation, office moves, and janitorial duties as needed.
  • Learn and utilize computer software programs required for systems maintenance, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and climate control/fertigation system monitoring programs.
