About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general housekeeping, upkeep, and maintenance of all building equipment and facilities. The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs preventive and general maintenance and minor repair work on commercial buildings. The successful candidate will be highly organized, able to multi-task, and have excellent written and verbal customer service skills.

Requirements

  • Must have basic electrical and HVAC knowledge.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to handle basic building repairs and maintenance.
  • Must have excellent customer service attitude when dealing with employees.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance of building systems in order to manage operating costs.
  • Coordinate all maintenance and project related activities.
  • Monitor computerized HVAC control systems
  • Perform repairs and maintenance throughout facility including but not limited to changing light bulbs, sweeping, filter changes, vacuuming, dusting, touch up painting, and general project repairs in a corporate office/light manufacturing environment.
  • Assist in all building issues related to door hardware and management of all building keys including monitoring systems to insure fire/life safety codes compliance.
  • Set up furniture as necessary to support business operations and special events.
  • Respond to routine calls as well as emergency situations quickly and effectively and interface with Department representatives on all emergency issues.
  • Perform tasks related to daily facility requests and work orders submitted to the Facilities Department
  • Coordinate and monitor repair of any office equipment, building systems, or furniture with contracted vendors and suppliers
  • Assist in maintaining proper inventory for building related supplies and products
  • Perform tasks and duties as required to support the goals of the Facilities Department
  • Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
