About The Position

Mid-Am Building Supply is hiring a dependable, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain its warehouse, building, and surrounding grounds in Spring Hill, Kansas. The role covers general facility upkeep, minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and warehouse improvement projects. The technician helps keep the workplace clean, organized, and safe, follows company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements, and coordinates larger repairs with outside vendors. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, cleaning equipment, and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and routine facility upkeep.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds or more.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at varying heights throughout the shift.
• Work in warehouse environments with varying temperatures and exposure to dust and noise.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, custodial services, or a related field.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Knowledge of building materials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, facility, and surrounding grounds.
• Safely operate floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Perform minor building repairs, including painting, replacing light bulbs, adjusting doors, and repairing fixtures.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors.
• Remove debris, pallets, scrap materials, and other potential hazards from warehouse areas.
• Identify and address housekeeping and facility-related safety concerns.
• Assist with warehouse projects, furniture moves, and facility improvements.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
