Assist maintenance staff with simple, routine tasks such as cleaning work areas, organizing tools, and basic facility upkeep. Perform basic duties such as changing light bulbs, tightening loose hardware, and helping with minor repairs under guidance. Help maintain outdoor areas, including debris pickup and basic groundskeeping tasks. Learn how to operate building systems, including HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical equipment. Support technicians during inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks by gathering tools, preparing work areas, and observing procedures. Assist in recording maintenance activities in electronic or paper systems as trained. Learn to identify when equipment or building issues need to be reported to senior technicians. Help with emergency response tasks such as cleanup and basic checks following weather events or facility disruptions. Follow all company safety rules and report unsafe conditions immediately. Safely operate company machinery and report any issues. Perform other simple tasks as assigned while continuing to develop technical skills.
