Facilities Maintenance Technician

Snowline Engineering is a state-of-the-art precision machining facility located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada just 20 minutes outside of Sacramento. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, machine shop maintenance, engineering support, or related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment.
- Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.
- High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, manual mills, lathes, grinders, presses, saws, compressors and other shop equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues and perform timely repairs.
- Install, assemble, relocate and calibrate machinery and shop equipment.
- Fabricate and modify machine components, fixtures, guards, and support equipment as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment wear, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
- Maintain facility systems including lighting, doors, plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, shelving, workstations, and general building repairs.
- Replace bearings, belts, motors, pumps, valves, hoses, filters, and other mechanical components.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and light fabrication projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
- Assist engineering teams with prototype assembly, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and inventory of tools and replacement parts.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and workplace safety standards.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
