As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at Anderson Center for Autism, you'll play an important role in helping maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our campus. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, maintenance tools, and related equipment.
  • Ability to perform physically active work that may include lifting, carrying, bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete assigned tasks independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Complete all required agency training programs.
  • Maintain professional standards of appearance and conduct.
  • Wear designated uniforms and required safety equipment as directed.
  • Follow all agency safety procedures and departmental protocols.
  • Participate in seasonal snow and ice response efforts when assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and daily activity logs as required.
  • Demonstrate respect for coworkers, individuals served, families, and visitors at all times.
  • Support agency initiatives that promote health, safety, and quality of life.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in custodial services, environmental services, facilities maintenance, housekeeping, property maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and welcoming environment for students, residents, staff, families, and visitors across Anderson's campus.
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties that help prevent the spread of illness while promoting a healthy and comfortable atmosphere throughout agency facilities.
  • Support the Operations Department by completing assigned cleaning projects, major unit cleaning activities, and other facility-related responsibilities in a thorough and professional manner.
  • Assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks, utilizing tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete assigned work.
  • Maintain and care for assigned tools, equipment, and materials while promptly reporting any concerns or equipment malfunctions.
  • Complete assigned activities from start to finish, including cleanup, documentation, and maintenance of daily work logs.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with fellow team members to complete projects and achieve departmental goals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, communication, and interactions with coworkers and members of the Anderson community.
  • Participate in seasonal snow and ice removal operations and assist with maintaining safe campus conditions during winter weather events.
  • Support an environment that promotes safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life for the individuals we serve.
