About The Position

We are seeking a stellar Maintenance Director to join our team at a large senior living community. Our Maintenance Director oversees keeping our residents living areas well-kept and serviced to high standards. You should also be able to resolve resident complaint and queries promptly and in a polite manner. You are the right candidate if you are pleasant, detail-oriented and friendly.

Requirements

  • Requires two years of related maintenance experience and some formal training in one or all of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing and cleaning.
  • Ability to perform general maintenance repair needs at assigned location, problem solve, plan, organize, communicate, and cooperate with others.
  • Supervisory/leadership experience necessary
  • Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis, including but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
  • Prepares resident rooms for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets and general maintenance by either providing these activities or working as a team member to achieve these results.
  • Maintains the grounds by mowing, sweeping, and trimming trees and shrubs, or other activities, such that the outside grounds are always presentable.
  • Conducts daily inspections of the building exterior and ground equipment.
  • Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets, etc., for upkeep and supply control, and to assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly.
  • Keeps accurate maintenance records of work done, inventory and purchasing.
  • Manages expenses through knowledge of budget.
  • May purchase maintenance supplies, tools, and appliances.
  • May maintain inventory of master key system.
