About The Position

Wasatch Labs is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and building infrastructure. This role involves assisting with scheduling and coordinating repairs, conducting facility inspections, maintaining inventory, and supporting various improvement projects. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining HVAC systems, evaporative coolers, process water systems, and steam generators, as well as performing preventive maintenance tasks and responding to maintenance requests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, equipment maintenance, or a related field preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and building infrastructure.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating repairs and maintenance activities with outside contractors as directed.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures and participate in required training programs.
  • Conduct facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist with facility improvement, construction, and renovation projects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
  • Change HVAC filters as required and assist in maintaining HVAC systems.
  • Maintain and service evaporative coolers.
  • Service and maintain the process water system, including daily inspections and completion of required logbooks.
  • Service and maintain steam generators, including daily monitoring and documentation of operating conditions.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks according to the established preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Assist with tank and scale calibrations.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently when required.
  • Respond to facility maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Support troubleshooting of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
