Facilities Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)
About The Position
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining building and production support equipment. This role involves installing water, air, and natural gas services for production equipment, and assisting in the maintenance of various support systems including air compressors, air dryers, cooling towers, chillers, process water pumps, and material pneumatic handling systems. The technician will operate equipment such as man lifts, forklifts, and overhead cranes, working at heights up to 70 feet. A strong emphasis is placed on adhering to all company safety, environmental, and health requirements, including Amcor Life Saving Rules, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent diploma.
- Able to work independently and with others.
- Able to accept responsibility for work performed.
- Capability to carry out duties as assigned.
Nice To Haves
- Trade School, Technical, Electrical, Mechanical certificate or degree is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install water, air and natural gas service for production equipment.
- Assist in maintenance of molding and printing machine support equipment, air compressors, air dryers, cooling towers, chillers, process water pumps and material pneumatic handling system.
- Operate man lifts and work overhead at heights up to 70 ft.
- Operate fork truck and overhead crane as needed.
- Maintain and follow all company safety, environmental and health requirements, including Amcor Life Saving Rules.
- Work in a safe manner at all times.
- Maintain equipment to keep it in proper and safe operating order.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform other tasks as required.
