Facilities Maintenance Technician – JLL What this job involves: Join JLL as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the operational excellence of our client facilities. In this hands-on position, you'll perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems while supporting our Mobile Engineer Services team. Your work will directly impact facility operations and client satisfaction by ensuring buildings remain safe, functional, and efficient. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills while working with cutting-edge building management systems and contributing to JLL's reputation for exceptional facility services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work
  • Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders safely
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction and teamwork
  • Must pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CMMS systems and computerized maintenance management
  • Trade school certification in electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of BMS and Card Access system maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and scheduling
  • OSHA safety certifications and specialized training
  • Understanding of building codes, compliance requirements, and energy efficiency practices
  • Experience with mobile maintenance operations and multi-site assignments

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair work orders on facility systems, equipment, and components
  • Execute facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations
  • Conduct general interior maintenance including painting, drywall patching, furniture repairs, and door maintenance
  • Replace lighting and ballasts, clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts to maintain optimal system performance
  • Complete Hazard Assessments for all maintenance activities while maintaining compliance with safety procedures
  • Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order status in real-time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo Enterprise
  • Support maintenance of BMS and Card Access systems for building operations
