The Maintenance Technician will have the responsibility of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting facilities and utilities equipment, such as building controls, fire protection systems, heating-ventilation-and air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical systems, and maintain physical structure on an industrial, cGMP regulated facility. Utilities equipment includes Chillers, Boilers, Air Handling Units, Exhaust ventilation, Dehumidifiers, Cooling Towers, Compressed Air Systems, Reheat, Fire Prevention, Emergency Power Generators, Water Treatment, UPS, and Environmental Control systems.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in engineering or technical related field with 5+ years’ experience of related work in at least one of the following areas is required: boiler operations, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing, WWTP, EMT or multi-craft
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 15+ year experience of related work in at least one of the following areas is required: boiler operations, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, plumbing, PH Plant, multi-craft is required
  • Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams, electronic schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Ability to read, use, navigate, operate, and troubleshoot using BMS, alarm screens, etc.
  • Basic fundamentals of various systems & equipment including pumps, compressors, boilers, steam systems and ancillary services, DHW skids, chillers, cooling towers, clean steam generators, purified water systems, CIP systems and low voltage electrical systems

Nice To Haves

  • Refrigerant Licenses Universal CFC refrigerant certification preferred
  • Valid Operating Engineers License preferred
  • Boiler license must be obtained within one year of hire date

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility systems and building infrastructure.
  • Perform assign work order.
  • Coordinates work with outside vendors and contractors, and supervises contractor activities on site, as assigned by supervisor
  • Monitors, operates, and conduct basic preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on chillers, boilers, cooling towers, dehumidifiers, air handling units, exhaust fans, air compressors, emergency power generators, uninterrupted power systems, electrical control systems, programmable controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, motors, building management systems, power industrial vehicles, water treatment systems and environmental control systems among other utility equipment. In addition, operates and maintains fire prevention systems (pumps, risers, sprinklers, control panels) throughout the facility
  • Maintain and repair doors, door hardware, locks, door closers, and associated building fixtures.
  • Perform minor carpentry, painting, patching, and wall repairs.
  • Install, replace, and repair ceiling tiles and grid systems
