About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician performs a variety of general maintenance tasks and facilities projects. The position assists with HVAC equipment installation under the supervision of senior technicians or Facilities Engineers, helps maintain clean rooms, and handles campus lighting, restroom, ceiling, wall, and door repairs. The technician also completes assigned preventive maintenance schedules, performs general maintenance, and assists vendors and contractors as assigned. This is a second-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with a 5% shift premium. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a current valid driver's license, and at least one year of related experience for Level I, three years for Level II, or five years for Senior. Ongoing education and on-the-job training are required.

Requirements

Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
Ability to repair sheetrock, refinish, and paint.
Willingness to learn and continue expanding skills.
Current valid driver's license.
High school diploma or GED.
Ongoing education and on-the-job training.
Related experience: at least 1 year for Level I, 3 years for Level II, or 5 years for Senior.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation of HVAC equipment under the supervision of senior technicians or Facilities Engineers.
Assist in maintaining clean rooms.
Ensure campus lights are functioning correctly.
Complete repairs to men's and women's restrooms in a timely manner.
Replace ceiling tiles as needed.
Repair, finish, and paint sheetrock walls.
Repair doors, door closures, and door sweeps.
Perform assigned preventive maintenance schedules.
Perform general maintenance functions.
Assist vendors and contractors as assigned.
