About The Position

Sandridge Crafted Foods is seeking a skilled and dependable Facilities Technician to maintain critical systems for safe and efficient operations. This role involves supporting building systems, utilities, grounds, HVAC equipment, boilers, water treatment systems, and other essential infrastructure within a manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands, and ensuring equipment and facilities operate at peak performance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC Certification
  • Strong electrical knowledge, including low voltage through 480V three-phase systems
  • Experience working with pumps, compressors, boilers, HVAC equipment, and facility utility systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
  • Proficiency with computers and maintenance software systems
  • Candidates must be able to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and work safely around industrial equipment and utility systems.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA 608 Certification (preferred for refrigeration work)
  • Welding experience (MIG, TIG, and Stick preferred)
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food processing environment
  • Experience with CMMS systems such as UpKeep or similar maintenance software

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and repairing facility utility systems, including water, wastewater, HVAC, boilers, hot water systems, and compressed air systems
  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues
  • Performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
  • Replacing valves, filters, belts, motors, sensors, gauges, thermostats, and other facility components
  • Assisting with facility upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining exterior grounds and supporting general building upkeep
  • Working closely with Production, Maintenance, and other departments to address facility-related concerns
  • Utilizing testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement lasting repairs
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documenting completed work
  • Supporting food safety, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Participating in emergency repairs, breakdown response, and occasional overtime as needed
