The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be helping with a variety of facilities maintenance projects. Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems. Assists with miscellaneous greenhouse facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility. Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Reports to a supervisor. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.

Requires basic construction knowledge
Ability to pay attention to the smallest details
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work hard and under the pressure of deadlines
Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.

Nice To Haves

Basic HVAC knowledge a plus
Greenhouse maintenance experience desired
Previous experience driving a box truck
Desire for growth in a fast-paced organization
Bilingual a plus

Responsibilities

Conducts routine maintenance to Warehouse and Greenhouse facilities
Assists in preparing and building fixtures for tradeshows
Acts as backup to box truck drivers if applicable
Assists shipping and receiving team when time allows
Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
Installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
Assists with miscellaneous greenhouse facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required.
Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
