Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 5+ years of Facilities/Maintenance experience

Nice To Haves

  • Background in multiple maintenance trades (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, or HVAC)
  • Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for work orders, asset tracking, and maintenance documentation
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Experience troubleshooting automated or semi‑automated equipment
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring maintenance technicians or acting as a lead
  • Knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA requirements
  • Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and communication
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement or reliability initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
  • Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding
  • Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
  • Uses hand and power tools
  • Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
  • Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
  • May act as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor / manager
  • May delegate tasks to other team members and be responsible for the review of work product
  • Trains, delegates and reviews the work of lower level employees and may be responsible for leading daily operations of a work team
