About The Position

RTX Raytheon Real Estate Services has an opening for a Facilities Maintenance Technician - Infrastructure Systems (Sr. Supervisor, Facilities) at the Chesapeake Bay VA site. The position focus will be to maintain, troubleshoot and repair all infrastructure systems including HVAC, Chilled Water Distribution, pumps, motors, and frontend Building automation controls. In this role, you will perform as a first night shift compressed facilities mechanic supporting plant operations. The positions will rotate between the day and night shifts, with the night shift running from 1430-2230. You will provide coverage and support for the facility days/nights/weekends if business, schedule, or emergency situations arise. You will learn how to manage facilities operations in a 40,000 square foot manufacturing building, gain technical experience working alongside senior mechanics and contractors, and learn to troubleshoot large infrastructure equipment and controls.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED or AA/AS degree (or another 2 year post HS training) and 4 or more years of relevant experience
  • 4+ years’ experience in (three or more) of the following areas: HVAC and Building Automation Controls, Maintenance of pumps, motors, valve and actuator operation, Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, Refrigeration cycles
  • 2+ years’ experience reading and interpreting blueprints and complex schematics
  • 2+ years’ experience with OSHA regulations and standards for Safe work practice, hazard assessment and mitigation.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Computer experience in the function and application of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Experience with common office technology including MS office suite of software and other Web based tools.
  • Experience in Electrical, VFD's and motor controls
  • Experience leading team members
  • PLC controls troubleshooting
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts
