About The Position

Hands-on role performing preventative maintenance, repair, and replacement of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment at corporate campuses and owned/leased properties. Responds to scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance work orders to support building systems. Reports directly to the Building Engineer, with indirect supervision from the Senior Manager.

Requirements

  • 2 years of related experience and/or specialized training
  • Reading and interpreting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, and one-line diagrams
  • Knowledge of building and electrical codes
  • Plumbing maintenance and repair (potable water, sewage, testing procedures)
  • HVAC and electrical components (VFDs, motor starters, thermostats, furnaces, hydronic systems, heat pumps, evaporators/condensers)
  • Minor component replacement (motors, valves, pumps, controls)
  • Electric and gas welding, metal fabrication
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, Corrigo CMMS)
  • Problem identification and solution reporting
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or GED, plus specialized vocational training in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general construction
  • Valid driver's license required; DMV check required
  • Eligible to work for an indefinite duration without limited work authorization
  • Ability to work in a team, under pressure, and on tight schedules
  • Flexibility for shift changes and emergency calls
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair minor building plumbing systems and fixtures, concrete paving units and walkways, and wall assemblies and finishes, per applicable codes and manufacturer recommendations
  • Respond to off-duty emergency calls involving safety threats, structural integrity, or critical system failures
  • Identify existing or potential problems and recommend actions to keep systems within manufacturer operating parameters
  • Order and stock supplies and replacement parts
  • Assist in developing and executing testing/inspection checklists for contractor and staff work quality
  • Solve electrical and mechanical issues on MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.)
  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance (inspecting, adjusting, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, doors, windows, hardware, wall/floor coverings, sunshades, blinds); coordinate with other trades and contractors
  • Perform routine maintenance: lubricating machinery, changing filters, cleaning exhaust and supply ducts
  • Document preventative maintenance and inspection reports in the CMMS (Corrigo)
  • Track and store maintenance tools, supplies, and inventory
  • Assist the Building Engineer in preparing Statements of Work (SOW) and construction documents
  • Monitor contractor work for compliance with contract terms
  • Build positive relationships with occupants, customers, and maintenance team members
  • Follow all safety procedures
