About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site. The technician will perform routine carpentry work, operate floor scrubbing machinery, and handle snow removal. They will also be responsible for general cleaning duties, including emptying trash and maintaining restrooms. A strong commitment to safety is essential, as is the ability to perform other assigned duties by management, such as moving furniture or unloading supplies. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field OR any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
• Safe driver needed; valid driver's license required
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Medium strength. Ability to lift 1-50 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Skill and knowledge to perform light/basic electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs required.
• Good communication and organizational skills required.
• Custodial duties

Responsibilities

• Maintain all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site.
• Clean and pick up trash/debris from parking lots and exterior trash cans.
• Clean and maintain restrooms.
• Operate floor scrubbing machinery and maintain clean auction house floors.
• Perform routine carpentry work in the repair and maintenance of buildings, offices, etc.
• Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
• Ensure all buildings are kept clean.
• Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and comply with applicable safety rules.
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies, etc.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
