About The Position

Duties and Responsibilities: Performs reactive maintenance on facility equipment while learning to utilize electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical skills and troubleshooting techniques. Performs preventive maintenance procedures on facility equipment. Helps maintain maintenance records and information on facility equipment. Assists with methods of cost-effective installation, monitoring and modification of facility equipment. Assists with problem troubleshooting in equipment, process, or materials. Interfaces and communicates with internal and external customers as needed to resolve equipment issues. Suggests equipment improvement opportunities and modification of equipment to improve operation. Completes assigned facilities projects in a timely manner. Helps maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies. Performs daily housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • This position requires a background in refrigeration, plumbing, electrical/electronics, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Must be able to establish priorities; managing personal work assignment backlog.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain basic electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Tech will work performing reactive and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of facility equipment.
  • Team-oriented and good interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to work holidays and weekends based on coverage needs.
  • Able to communicate well with others, from Engineers to Associates.
  • Must possess LME license as a minimum
  • Working knowledge of refrigeration, mechanical and electrical drawings is necessary.
  • Experience using Microsoft Windows software applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Would prefer Electrician license, plumber license, or HVAC certification
