Position Summary: Responsible for performing a wide variety of skilled work to maintain/repair Utilities, performs skilled maintenance repairs work in the trades to ensure that facilities are properly maintained and meet GMP standards. Duties may fall into a variety of trades, including, Plant waste systems, electrical, mechanical, energy management, fire and life safety, security systems Work with OEMs & contractors to make repairs or upgrades to equipment, Participates in estimates and evaluations of project costs and the following Utility Equipment: Equipment Responsible for Maintaining: Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces. Emergency lighting Fire suppression systems Chillers Chilled water supply systems Dust collection Water purification systems Life safety protection equipment/systems. Preventative maintenance Equipment inspection and repair Troubleshooting Rigging and alignment of equipment Welding and fabrication Hydraulic systems Air compressors Steam Generators HVAC Controls and Maintenance Pumps Steam Trap and Steam Pump maintenance Dehumidification system Maintenance and Repair Water testing on Boilers and Chillers and working with Contractor on water treatment Dock Doors and Levelers Maintenance and repair Roll-up doors in plant areas Maintenance and Repair DI water system Maintenance and Repair Water Tower Maintenance and Repair In this role, you will be responsible for the safe monitoring and treating of wastewater from process operation before discharging to city plant while maintaining compliance with all wastewater treatment rules and regulations. Will conduct tests, add, and adjust chemicals as needed based on results and clean tanks as needed. Work with Vendors who have contracts related to wastewater and other Utilities related work

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Requires a minimum of two years prior Utilities maintenance training and experience.
  • Fluent English skills to understand and apply complex maintenance manual procedures.
  • Communicate with supervisors and others; and maintain various routine records.
  • Knowledge of power and hand tools used in Utilities maintenance.
  • Knowledge of recordkeeping techniques and regulations, including use of automated record systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA workplace health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of use of company computers to use automated recordkeeping tools, automated system controls, and email.
  • Stand/walk and perform physical labor for most of the working shift.
  • Pull, push, squat, etc. to accomplish repairs.
  • Intermittently lift loads of up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

Nice To Haves

  • Wastewater Certified a Plus
  • HVAC background preferred/plus.
  • Experience with building control software a plus.
  • Some experience with PLCs & drives a plus.
  • Experience with steam systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.
  • Maintains Emergency lighting, Fire suppression systems, Chillers, Chilled water supply systems, Dust collection, Water purification systems, and Life safety protection equipment/systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, equipment inspection, and repair.
  • Troubleshoots, rigs, and aligns equipment.
  • Performs welding and fabrication.
  • Maintains Hydraulic systems, Air compressors, Steam Generators, HVAC Controls and Maintenance, Pumps, Steam Trap and Steam Pump maintenance, Dehumidification system Maintenance and Repair.
  • Conducts water testing on Boilers and Chillers and works with contractors on water treatment.
  • Maintains and repairs Dock Doors and Levelers, Roll-up doors in plant areas, DI water system, and Water Tower.
  • Monitors and treats wastewater from process operation before discharging to the city plant while maintaining compliance with all wastewater treatment rules and regulations.
  • Conducts tests, adds, and adjusts chemicals as needed based on results and cleans tanks as needed.
  • Works with Vendors who have contracts related to wastewater and other Utilities related work.
