About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation, preventive maintenance, and repairs heavily focusing on, and including, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety and fire protection systems to ensure proper facility operations. You will maintain and operate equipment that supports a variety of operations. You will work closely with senior level Mechanics for guidance & prioritization. This role is onsite at our Brooklyn Center facility Hours: Monday – Friday, 7AM – 3:30PM Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, and electrical Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment Uses hand and power tools Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 4+ years of Facilities experience
  • Boiler License
  • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
  • Experience with wastewater treatment systems and RO/DI (Reverse Osmosis/Deionization) water systems
  • Electrical experience
  • General knowledge of dock door repairs
  • General knowledge of paint, sheetrock and concrete repair
  • Knowledge of Air compressors
  • Knowledge of material handling vehicles
  • Knowledge with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Knowledge with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge with Fire/Life Safety Systems
