About The Position

Performs facilities tasks assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Lead. This role is crucial for maintaining the building structures, equipment, systems, and grounds, ensuring a safe and functional work environment. The position is with Sargent, a company with a long legacy in manufacturing highly engineered precision bearings and components for industrial, defense, and aerospace industries.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED plus vocational or specialty trade training.
A minimum of one-year personal experience performing similar work involving use of various cleaning chemicals.
A good working knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in construction, maintenance, repair, operation of building finishes, equipment, and systems.
Skills needed include adaptability, communication, customer focus, decision-making, dependability, initiative, interpersonal skills, job knowledge, judgment, personal organization, productivity, quality, results focus, teamwork, work environment, leadership, people development, project management.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
Receives work assignments from Facilities Maintenance Lead persons.
Performs repairs and maintenance on building structures and finishes.
Performs repairs and maintenance on building equipment and systems.
Performs actions in the maintenance of the building and grounds, machinery, pumps, and all other maintenance and manufacturing equipment and facility support systems.
