We are seeking a results-driven Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor to lead maintenance and facility operations at Hollister-Whitney, part of Vantage Elevation. Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing, GAL Canada, Hollister-Whitney, Elevator Controls, Courion, Bore-Max, Thames Valley Controls, and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies nearly all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Founded in 1927, Vantage employs over 900 people across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. As the Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor, you will own the performance of both the maintenance and facility functions—ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient facility. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role requiring strong responsiveness to production, proactive issue identification, and disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with facility systems (HVAC, electrical distribution, compressors, utilities) required
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and solve problems proactively
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers
  • Knowledge of OSHA and manufacturing safety standards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Experience overseeing janitorial or facility services in an industrial environment preferred
  • Experience with CNC equipment, welding systems, presses, and material handling systems preferred
  • Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial electrical systems
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
  • CMMS experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily maintenance and facility operations with a strong sense of urgency
  • Provide hands-on support to production teams to minimize downtime
  • Proactively assess equipment and facility conditions and implement solutions
  • Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Oversee facility systems including HVAC, electrical, compressed air, and infrastructure
  • Manage janitorial services and facility cleanliness standards across production and office areas
  • Supervise internal staff and/or vendors for maintenance and janitorial services
  • Build and manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and EHS to support operational goals
  • Monitor maintenance performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage spare parts, maintenance inventory, and external service providers
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide off-hours or emergency support as needed
