The Facilities Specialist is responsible for maintenance and repair of the overall facilities and all supporting structural, mechanical, electronic, and electrical for warehouse type training facility. The Facilities Technician performs general repairs as well as preventative, predictive and routine maintenance to ensure all facility support functions and equipment are in continuous working order. While performing these duties, the Facilities Technician will be required to stand; use hands and fingers to work with tools and small parts; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, climb, balance, kneel, and crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess or able to possess a Government Clearance
  • 1 or more years of general maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to document repair work and generate reports.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fluid environment.
  • Must be results driven and a self-starter, able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Positive & proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures.
  • Must be able to work Weekdays and Evenings or Weekends as business dictates.
  • Comply with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE)
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, inputting information into databases
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
  • Favorable credit Check.
  • Successfully pass a background investigation, drug screen

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience of hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic and/or HVAC systems
  • Quality and Safety Minded, experience with OSHA standards preferred.
  • Education / training in electronics and electrical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that facility machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building is maintained.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the Facility and Shooting Range by utilizing scrubber machine
  • Hand on experience with hand and electrical tools
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Conduct daily inspections of the overall facility, shooting range and all supporting equipment and systems.
  • Ability to patch holes in drywall, sanding, and painting
  • Perform fixes on leaks on sinks, toilets, and washer machines
  • Perform inspections on roof leaks or range leaks
  • Corresponds with vendors and other team members via email
  • Coordinate, oversee and/or manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by vendors and contractors performing maintenance and janitorial work.
  • Troubleshoot to determine/diagnose the root cause of all operating errors and determine/recommend and implement corrective measures.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches, as well as measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Read and interpret technical documents, manuals, and drawings to assist in performing required diagnostics, maintenance and routine service for all machinery and equipment.
  • It must be comfortable utilizing rooftop access for maintenance.
  • Perform Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
